Balanced Care For The Mind

Therapy

Personalised, evidence-based psychology sessions in a warm, collaborative setting, designed around your goals and lived experience.

Private Therapy

We offer private psychology sessions for individuals seeking personalised, evidence-based support in a warm and collaborative space. Private sessions are ideal for clients wanting flexibility, privacy, and the ability to access support without requiring a referral. Whether you are navigating anxiety, low mood, stress, burnout, ADHD, autism, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply wanting greater self-understanding, therapy is tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Your first session is usually focused on getting to know you, understanding your concerns, history, current challenges, and what you are hoping to achieve through therapy. From there, sessions become more targeted and collaborative, with practical strategies, emotional support, and ongoing reflection to help you create meaningful change.

Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP)

If you visit your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician, you may be eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan. A valid MHTP allows you to access a Medicare rebate for psychology sessions, making ongoing support more financially accessible.

Session Fee $120
Medicare Rebate $98.95
Out-of-Pocket Gap $21.05

Clients can typically access an initial referral for 6 sessions, with the option for a GP review and additional sessions if clinically appropriate. A Mental Health Treatment Plan can reduce financial pressure while ensuring consistent support for your mental health and wellbeing. For a full step-by-step guide, visit How a MHTP Works.

Bulk Billing Options

We believe therapy should feel accessible, not out of reach. To support affordability, we offer bulk billed sessions for eligible concession card holders and students under a valid MHTP. This means no out-of-pocket gap fee for eligible clients.

If you are unsure whether you are eligible, get in touch and we can help guide you through your options.

Not Sure Which Option Is Right For You?

Assessments

We offer comprehensive assessment pathways to support clarity, understanding, and informed next steps. Separate pages are available for ADHD and Autism (ASD) assessments, each outlining specific tools and considerations.

Looking for answers? We are here to help.

Have you ever felt like something has always felt "different", but you have not quite had the words for it?

Many adults and adolescents go years without understanding why everyday tasks feel harder for them than they seem to others. Difficulties with focus, organisation, emotional regulation, sensory sensitivities, social communication, masking, burnout, or feeling constantly overwhelmed are often misunderstood or explained away as personality, anxiety, laziness, or simply "not coping well enough".

Did you know ADHD and autism traits can often be missed or misdiagnosed? Many individuals, particularly women, high-masking adults, and culturally diverse clients are commonly misdiagnosed with anxiety, depression, personality difficulties, or trauma-related concerns before discovering that ADHD, autism, or both may actually be underlying contributors.

Receiving a comprehensive assessment can provide clarity, validation, and a deeper understanding of how your brain works.
